a christian couple must make decisions that reflect their resolve to honor jehovah, to please each other, and to maintain a clean conscience.
generally speaking, a couple would not discuss with others this intimate aspect of their marriage..

Does maths prove the bible is wrong?
by joey jojo inthere might be a few that find this post boring, because, you know - its maths.. i like maths but im not a mathematician or condsider myself any type of expert on the subject.. there is a branch of maths called propositional logic that is used widely in computers and computer programming that allows computers to make decisions based on certain conditions.
for example: if a condition exists, then do something.
like: if the a button is pressed, then the letter a will appear on the screen.

a former jehovah's witness elder has been committed to stand trial for raping and sexually abusing young men on the sunshine coast over a 10-year period.police arrested 62-year-old mooloolaba man peter mitchelson in august 2022 and charged him with more than 50 sexual offences, including 21 counts of rape that allegedly occurred at various locations on the sunshine coast and in brisbane from 2008 to 2018.. the charges relate to five adult male complainants known to mr mitchelson through the jehovah's witness faith.. a committal hearing at maroochydore today heard mr mitchelson allegedly used his seniority as a former congregation elder to coerce the younger men to perform sexual acts for his gratification.. police said the acts were non-consensual and made the alleged victims feel "used, controlled, and lied to".. mr mitchelson was committed to stand trial in the district court on 53 charges, while charges of incest and torture were dismissed due to a lack of evidence.. 'positive affirmations' allegedly escalated.
the court heard the majority of alleged offending started with mr mitchelson advising alleged victims on how to use '"positive affirmations" to improve their confidence.. police said initial meetings with mr mitchelson involved alleged victims standing in front of a mirror repeating the phrase: "i'm strong.

What made you look behind the jw curtain?
by Touchofgrey ini was listening to a lunchtime call in radio show about jws and the personal experiences of being disfellowshiped, and a former elder called in saying he was disfellowshiped for asking about jws and their involvement in the un in the 1990s ,and he just said look it up.. thinking that it was a made up lie ,so i looked it up and it was true even a letter confirming it from the un itself and that led me here and to jwfacts and further research into the history and teachings of jw and walked out the door about 5 years ago.

i never looked behind the curtain--i just lost all interest.
i had been brought up in it from about 10--dragged to meetings by recently converted mom. Dad followed her--and when i was 14 he told me he was getting baptised, I heard several other brats in the cong were getting dipped too...so i did too to be part of the silly show. Typical teenage years followed--married to a born in spoiled child when i turned 20 Pioneered and became a servant.
Wife was expecting our first (of 3 ) when i was 23----then it hit me--the no blood thing. No way ! I realised i had no interest in god or religion--and i was out.
Spoiled child wife "persuaded" me to attend sunday meetings occasionally--which i did in return for marital favours. But that all ended with a simple my fault divorce, and i was finally free completely.
I lost contact with my kids during the 80s, untill in 2010 i learned my son had been d/f. I discovered a UK ex jw website and asked on there if anyone knew of him--and 2 members did. Long story short, this got me interested in this hitherto unknown "world" of ex jws
But i still have no interest in god, bible . any religion. It all belongs in the stone age.
